Food Festival Commences at Chennai Island Grounds!

A food festival is being organized at the Island Grounds in Chennai Metro City for 3 days on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Food Safety.
The Department of the Food Safety is organising this Food Festival with the main objective of creating an awareness among the citizens on the importance of food safety.
State Ministers M. Subramanian and Sekar Babu inaugurate the Food Festival.
In this Food festival, focus is on the long-time traditional food items that will be on display in 150 stalls.
Guidelines regarding minimum wastage of food ingredients/items, items which are good for health, and other factors of Food are to be explained in this food festival!
Apart from this, contests on traditional food items and food-related contests and cultural programmers are also to be conducted!
`Food Safety Awareness March` is to be conducted on 14th August!
Information is gathered that several film celebrities and celebrities from other fields are participating in this festival!!
