Beginning of the preliminary works on the elevated metro line started now near Nandambakkam in Chennai!!

Now, CMRL is making news for this reason!!

The news that has come out now is for the metro phase 2 project the preliminary works have started with construction of pillars along the Adyar River near Nandambakkam in Chennai. This was on the 5th line up to  Madhavaram- Sholinganallur. In 3 phases, the phase-2 metro train project works are being implemented at a cost of Rs  63246 crores. It would cover a distance of 118.9 kms is known.

Now, the construction of metro rail line is underway on the 5th line from Madhavaram- Sholinganallur of 47kms. There would be an elevated line of 41.2km and an underground line of 5.8kms.

On the Poonamallee- Mount Road, between Mugalivakkam and Manapakkam, Ramapuram metro train station would be built. In addition, a metro line would be constructed on the elevated route. For the last 2 months, the preliminary works have been going on.

A strong foundation-

The construction of pillars has begun now as the initial phase of Ramapuram- Manapakkam metro line has been over. To speed up the work, 5 modern machines would be put into use. The construction of the 9 pillars has been half completed and the remaining work is going on.

Now, preliminary works or strong foundation construction has started to construct pillars along the Adyar River near Nandambakkam in Chennai.  It was later highlighted by an officer from CMRL that the initial phase for the construction of the pillars for the high level line along the Adyar River near Nandambakkam has started. He added that the contract for the construction of the elevated line has been divided into 3 packages.

On all the elevated lines, construction of foundations and construction of piers has started. It is now mentioned that on route 5 from Madhavaram - Sholinganallur, 42 stations would be on elevated lines and 6 would be underground.
