Shocking News: Senior Citizen Financial Assistance to be stopped if the person has 2 LPG Gas cylinders!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu offers monthly financial assistance as a measure to those destitute senior citizens (for their well-being) who survive on their own without any help from their children or relatives.
The Old Age Pension Scheme was first started in the year 1962. At that time, monthly assistance of Rs. 20/- was given! This monthly assistance was gradually increased and presently, monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- is offered for the destitute senior citizens!
This monthly assistance amount is credited to the bank account of the concerned senior citizen!
Similarly, monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- is offered to destitute widows and differently-abled citizens.
In this scenario, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has suddenly announced that this monthly allowance of Rs. 1000/- is being CANCELLED for those senior citizens who have 2 LPG Cooking Gas Cylinders!
On hearing this news, the senior citizens are extremely shocked and upset!
This is because most homes use 2 LPG Cooking Gas Cylinders! Because of the above cancellation of the monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- for the senior citizens under the above recent rule have been constrained to return one LPG cooking gas cylinder to continue to avail of this monthly assistance!
The deposit amount for the LPG Cooking Gas cylinder has been gradually increased from the starting Rs. 450 to the present Rs. 2500/-!
As such, the senior citizens had deposited only Rs. 450 while registering for the LPG Cooking Gas Cylinder! Now, only that Rs. 450 deposit amount is being returned to those who return the second cylinder!
To book a second cylinder, these senior citizens will need to pay Rs. 2500 as a deposit!
As such, the senior citizens who avail of the monthly financial assistance of Rs. 100/- have now APPEALED TO THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO CANCEL THIS ORDER THAT THEY MUST HAVE ONLY ONE LPG COOKING GAS CYLINDER!
Important note:
Further, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has mentioned in the above order that the present monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- WILL BE STOPPED EVEN FOR government employees, citizens who did a property transaction of over Rs. 1 Lakh, Sugar & `N` family ration card holders, and the citizens who have availed a loan of above Rs. 1 Lakh pledging jewellery!
