The State Government School Education Department has announced that today is the last day to apply for temporary teachers posts and applications must be sent before 5.00 PM today (Wednesday, 6th July)!

The applications will be scrutinised and sent to the Commissioner of Education before 8.00 PM today.

The revised guidelines for the recruitment of temporary teachers:

As per the academic qualifications set by the Department of School Education, Only the vacancies that were existing until 1st June must be filled up.

The eligible and interested candidates must submit their applications at the offices of the District and Local Education Officers from 4th July until 6th July!

The District Education Officers must compile them and send them to the respective school headmasters.

For the middle-level teachers, the candidates MUST have passed the TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) 11st Day Examination and the graduate teacher candidates MUST have passed the TET 2nd day examination!

For the higher secondary teachers, they must be postgraduates with B. Ed. In case the is more than 1 application per vacancy, the applications must be scrutinised on per priority basis.

In other words, priority will be given to the candidates, apart from the set academic qualifications, who also passed TET. Priority will be given to the candidates who have worked as teachers in the Education-to-Home Scheme and passed TET!.

For the teachers of higher secondary, those who have participated in the document/certificate verification and those who reside in the locality of the school will be given priority.

Assessment of the performance of the teachers when they conduct classes must be personally done and then only an appointment must be given. Further, the important aspect to note is that the post is purely temporary. So these candidates must be sufficiently warned that in case they are found to be deficient in work or show indiscipline, they can be fired.

The State Government Department of School Education has also strictly mentioned that the appointments must be done by the District Education Officers in a way according to the guidelines so as not to lead to complaints
