In TN, the deadline to get registered for getting educational assistance extended now!!

Good news for the TN government school girl students!!
The date for getting registered for these girl students to get educational assistance has been extended now till 10th July 2022. This was according to the higher education department or HED. The various educational institutions in TN have been asked by the HED to make sure that girl students from government schools get registered for the scheme. It is known that the registrations started from 25th June onwards.
The department of higher education has sent a circular to the Directorate of Collegiate Education, DOTE, registrars of deemed universities etc instructing that the government school girl students must get registered in this scheme. Last month, the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme was announced by the TN state government is known.
It is worthy to note that girl students studying in the first and second year in various UG programmes in the arts and sciences colleges, polytechnics and engineering colleges etc have been urged to get registered on http://penkalvi.tngov.in as soon as possible. Information is that students of the academic year 2022-23 might register themselves after they get admitted to the programmes.
