The Tamil Nadu State Minister Moorthy: Revenues in Registration Department up by Rs. 2100 Crores as compared to last year!

A review meeting was conducted in the Department of Integrated Commercial Tax and Registration Department office located in Nandanam, Chennai Metro City presided by the Tamil Nadu Government Minister for Registration and Commercial Tax, Moorthy with the Senior Officials of the Registration  Department.

After this review meeting, Minister Moorthy had a session with the press reporters. He shared:

A revenue of Rs. 4213 Crores has been earned in the 3months of April, May, and June. The revenue this year is up by Rs. 2100 Crores as compared to the previous year.

A separate team has been formed to estimate prices for the Real Estate Business people.

As the registration transactions have been done transparently without any middle agents for property registration by the citizens, the revenue has increased!

Further, for increasing the clerical staff for the registration documents handling, an examination has been conducted to recruit additional staff  the successful candidates will be appointed to carry out the Registration.

Legal action has been taken against an individual who acted as a broker in the Tirupur Registration Office!

As such, if any further complaints are received regarding brokers in other Registration offices in other districts, PLEASE NOTE THAT IMMEDIATE STRINGENT LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.

As the Registration Facility was introduced to be done on Saturdays as well, the revenue has gone up by Rs. 170 Crores.

Please note that Registration of purchase of any place can be done anywhere in Tamil Nadu! To ensure that no maloperations or errors occur during the registration process, it has been made MANDATORY to obtain the prior permission of the Assistant Register of the concerned Registration Office!
