Great news for bank account holders: Proposed bank strike by employees withdrawn!

The plan for the Bank Employees to go on strike on 27th June emphasising their several demands has been withdrawn!

The various demands put up by the Bank Employees include – weekly 2 holidays, restoration of the old pension plan, and 3 others!

Emphasising this, they planned to go on strike on 27th June as decided by the Bank Employees/Officers Unions Federation. Further, a notice was sent to the Federation of Indian Banks!

Subsequently, a discussion on this issue reviewing the status was conducted jointly by the Commissioner of Central Government Employees Welfare and the officials of the Indian Banks Federation and Officers’ Federation.

This meeting was conducted in New Delhi yesterday (Thursday, 23rd April)!

At the end of this discussion, the representatives of the Indian Banks Federation informed us that they would review the above-mentioned demands of the Bank employees and the discussion on this will be scheduled for 1st July!

With the recent developments as mentioned above, the Federations of the Bank Employees and Bank Officers Unions has informed that the strike planned by them on 27th June has been withdrawn!
