Prospects for medium rain for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for medium rain in the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu.

In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard, it is mentioned:

Due to the phenomenon of thermal convection prevailing over some parts of Tamil Nadu,

28th & 29th May: There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.

30th & 31st May and 1st June: There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal

As regards Chennai Metro City:

The sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rains in some parts of the city!

Rainfall recorded in cm in various places in the last 24 hours:

Veeraganur, Veppur 5 each, Srimushnam, Vaalpaarai, Thirumayam 4 each, Seerkaazhi, Senthurai, Karur, V. Kalathur, Jamunamarathur, Vanathi, Kanavur, Thenpanadu, Emanadu, Annavasam, Melur, Perambalur, gopichettypalayam, eraiyur, thenpanadu, Solaiyar, Annamalai Nagar 2 each, Manalmedu, Chozhavaram, Boodhanur, Parangippettai, Valpaarai, Taluk Office, Mayiladuthurai, Thangampatti, Sivakasi, Udhagamandalam, Cinchona, Chozhavaram, Kodaiikkanal Boat team, Thanimangalam, Paraniyaaru, Aalankarai Estate 1 each.

 Warning for Fishermen:

28th May: High-speed winds at 40-50 kmph may blow in Sri Lanka and the adjacent southwest Bay of Bengal.

29th May & 30th May: High-speed winds at 40-50 kmph may blow  Lakhdivs, southeast Arabian Sea, South Kerala and the adjacent Kumari Ocean, South Tamil Nadu coastal area.

As such, fishermen are warned not to venture into the sea on the above dates!!
