A sudden announcement from Chennai University: University examinations postponed!

An announcement has been released that the University examinations of Chennai University stand postponed!
Chennai University examinations were set to start on 3rd June. Now, an announcement has been released that this is being postponed.
In an announcement subsequently released by Chennai University, it is mentioned:
“The University Examinations scheduled to start on 4th June are now postponed to 15th June!”
Further, this announcement is valid for all Arts & Science colleges functioning under Chennai University.
However, no explanations were given as to the reasons for this postponement! As such, the students who were preparing for the examinations are shocked! At the same time, the students also mention that this postponement has given them some additional days to prepare for the University Examinations!
Chennai University is regarded as one of the traditional and old and a major university with a high reputation! Chennai University was started in 1851 in Chennai.
