Milestone in the history of Indian Railways - Integral Coach Factory or ICF in Chennai is grabbing the spotlight now!!

On Friday, 20th May 2022, Union Minister for Railways Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw made his presence felt in ICF in Chennai. He flagged off 12000 LHB coaches rolled out by ICF or Integral Coach Factory. He made it clear that railways would not be privatised.
The minister visited the LHB shed of the furnishing factory and inspected the Vande Bharat Express coaches there. By August 2022, the first two prototype rakes would be turned out as per the plans. He hinted that by August 2023, 75 Vande Bharat rakes would be rolled out by the Indian Railways.
Other important personalities who were present when the Union minister for railways flagged off 12000th Linke Hoffman Busch AC- 2 tier coach at the furnishing factory were the GM of ICF Mr. A.K. Agarwal and senior railway officers etc. It is important to mention here that it is a great milestone in the history of Indian Railways and a benchmark in the passenger train services modernisation.
The superb piece of news is that ICF was the first production of Indian Railways to achieve such a benchmark in the LHB Coaches production. This has been mentioned in a statement from ICF. The union minister for railways congratulated ICF for its tremendous work.
