Urban Local Administration Election: Campaigning permitted until 10.00 PM!

Tamil Nadu State Election Commission has allotted extended time for campaigning for the local urban administration elections.
Earlier, permission was denied to campaign from 8.00 PM to 8.00 AM. As such, the political party candidates and the independents campaigned only from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM.
In this scenario, the State Election Commission of Tamil Nadu has ordered that campaigns may be undertaken from 8.00 AM to 10.00 PM.
However, prior permission MUST be obtained by the campaigning candidates from the official concerned.
Candidates organising meetings must apply earlier to the concerned official and get permission.
The details of the date and time of the meeting must be given to the concerned officials by the campaigners,
In case more than one person applies for conduct meeting in the same place on the same date/time, priority will be given to the candidate who applied first!
An assistant Police Inspector has been appointed for getting the No Objection Certificate from the Police Department.
So, from the earlier regulation to campaign from 8.00 AM to 8.00 Pm, an extension has now been given to campaign from 8.00 AM to 10.00 PM!
