No water supply in the localities of south Chennai

On 27th and on 28th January 2022, water supply in the areas like Adyar, Velachery, Kotivakkam etc would be suspended due to the maintenance work at Nemmeli desalination plant.
For undertaking maintenance work at the facility, water production at the desalination plant with a capacity to treat 110 MLD would be stopped from 6am on Thursday to 6am on Friday.
It is now mentioned that due to the maintenance works the water supply to places like Mylapore, Besant Nagar, Sholinganallur, Injambakkam, Neelankarai, Kottivakkam, Perungudi and Thiruvanmiyur would be stopped for 2 days. Residents have been asked to store and keep enough water in advance. For mobile water supply for urgent requirements, the residents might contact the area engineers.
