Corporation schools in Chennai will undergo this amazing change soon!!

Soon, the Corporation schools in Chennai would be converted into model schools to help the students prepare for entrance exams etc!! Sounds incredible right!!
It is now said that Greater Chennai Corporation or GCC has floated bids to convert Corporation school into a model school and by this the students studying in the corporation schools would have coaching for the entrance examinations. It was brought out by an official that Tondiarpet based Chennai Higher secondary school would have its 2nd and 3rd floors converted into a model school. Once the bidding gets over, work would begin in this school.
It is worthy to note that Chennai Corporation has recently decided to convert Chennai Higher secondary school on TH Road and Chennai Boys Higher secondary school in Nungambakkam and Saidapet based Government Boys Higher Secondary Schools into model schools and resolutions were passed also. The students would be selected and these model schools would provide entrance exam coaching such as IIT, NEET etc for these selected students.
Point is that students from corporation and government schools would be admitted to the model schools. From the nearby schools, students would be admitted to the model schools and these students would be provided with hostel and food facilities etc. In each of the 3 model schools mentioned above, every year 140 boys and 140 girls would be given coaching for the entrance examinations. As many as 840 students would be coached in total. An amount of more than Rs 5.50 crores has been allotted for this superb work.
