Rains today and 2morrow in Tamil Nadu

Yesterday, suddenly the heavens opened up and it rained in Chennai and this surprised many residents of Chennai. Few places have been receiving rain every now and then. The RMC has informed that today as well as tomorrow there would be rains in Tamil Nadu.
It is known that in November rains lashed the state of Tamil Nadu and some places had less rains. It is true that in this year the rains were more than the normal only. The rains reduced gradually in December and there was dew. It was cold in the mornings in the months of November and December. Though dew has reduced now in the month of January, rains have begun slowly.
In the last few days in ChennaI, the morning dew was less but it rained yesterday all of a sudden. It was predicted that on 16th and 17th January the coastal districts in TN, Puducherry etc would have moderate rains. Other districts would have dry weather only. This was announced by RMC and despite this sudden rains took many by surprise.
Places like Tondiarpet, Royapuram, Parrys Corner, Chepauk, Anna Salai, Kodambakkam, Ashok Nagar, Guindy, Adyar etc had intermittent rains. Chennai suburbs like Vandalur, Perungalathur etc received rains.
