The increase in both Coronavirus as well as Omicron cases has been making lives of people very difficult. The health secretary Mr. J. Radhakrishnan spoke about how it was the responsibility of the public also to control the spread of the deadly infection.  The government of TN has been doing everything possible to control the spread of Coronavirus and Omicron now is well known to us. He then warned that if the number of Covid-19 cases increases further then there might even be a total of full curfew in TN like it was done in the past.

There are now 1.23lakhs beds at the hospitals for treating Coronavirus patients. Seven percent are full of patients and 9 percent are empty. There are many who are in home isolation now in Chennai and in TN. Only for 5% of senior citizens, booster dose has been administered till now. Frontline workers and those above age of 60 must get booster dose vaccination compulsorily.

He added that the public must not let their guards down thinking that there is no Omicron infection and they must be very careful for the next 2 weeks of time. The truth is that 55lakhs of those above the age of 18 have not even got a single dose of vaccination in TN.
