Corona third wave echo: Announcement that semester exams for colleges/universities postponed!

The latest variant of the coronavirus, Omicron, has been spreading fast and wide across the world in India as well – at an alarming rate!
As such, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has initiated several preventive measures to check and prevent this spread.
Further, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that holidays are declared for all universities and colleges until 20th January!
Accordingly, the students of Chennai University have been given holidays until 20th January.
The earlier programme was for the semester examinations to commence from 21st January!
In this scenario, Chennai University has announced that the semester examinations are being postponed as a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus third wave!
Chennai University has further announced that a decision to announce the dates of semester examinations will be taken after a detailed review meeting by the authorities!
