List of holidays when the ration shops in Tamil Nadu will remain closed

The department of Public Distribution System has released an announcement has been released detailing the list of holidays on which the ration shops functioning under the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Public Distribution system throughout Tamil Nadu will remain closed.
As per this, the list of holidays on which the rations shops will remain closed:
- Pongal - 14/01/22 Friday
- Thaipposam - 18/01/22 Tuesday
- Republic Day - 26th January Wednesday
- Tamil New Years Day Dr Ambedkar Birthday Mahavir Jayanthi - 1/01/22 - Thursday
- May Day 01/05/2022 Sunday
- Ramzan - 01/05/2022 Sunday
- Independence Day 15/08/2022 - Monday
