Will there be a curb on New Year festivities and celebrations? Chief Minister reviews!

The Tamil Nadu State Chief Minister has been reviewing the prospects for extending the prevailing Corona guidelines and regulations and the lockdown situation.

Lockdown conditions with some relaxations are presently continuing - the lockdown commenced on 10th May with the breakout of the raging 2nd wave of coronavirus and this lockdown is set to conclude on 15th December.

Meanwhile, the presence of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus pandemic has been detected in the adjacent states of Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra.

In this scenario, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin is all set to review the situation with the initiation of all preventive measures against the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus at the Chief Secretariat with the Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government and the Secretary of the Department of Health.

Information is gathered that a decision regarding curbing the festive and celebratory activities on the New Year is a preventive measure!
