Relaxations for Sabarimalai devotees: permission to take bath in the Pampa River and to perform Bali tharpan!

A meeting was conducted for a detailed review of the restrictions imposed on devotees visiting Sabarimalai for the Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappa Swamy. This meeting was presided by the Kerala State Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan

And participated by the State Ministers and the officials of the Sabarimalai Lord Ayyappan temple Dewaswom Board. A decision was taken to relax some of the impositions in this meeting.

Accordingly, the devotees are now permitted to take bath in the Pampa River and perform ‘Bali’ Tharpan.

However, the final decision has been left to the District Administration depending on the inflow of water to the Pampa River.

With the perceptible increase in the number of devotees visiting Sabarimalai, additional relaxation have been announced!

As per the latest relaxations announced by the Dewaswom Board, the forest route from Pampa to Neelimalai, Appachimedu, and marakkottam WILL BE OPENED FOR THE LORD IYAIYAPPAN DEVOTEES!

It is further announced that arrangements will be made for special medical attention camps & facilities in Neelimalai and Appachimedu.

Permission will be granted for the devotees to stay overnight at the Sabarimalai Sannidhanam.500 rooms with adherence to the COVID prevention guidelines have been arranged in the Sabarimalai Sannidhanam for this purpose!
