ORDER ISSUED!! Passing the Tamil exam is a must now for getting government jobs in TN!!

If you havent passed the Tamil exam then you might not get government jobs in the state of TN hereafter!!

The news that has come out now is that the Tamil Nadu government has passed an order making it compulsory to qualify in the Tamil exam conducted by various recruitment agencies for government jobs. An order was issued by Mythili K. Rajendran, human resource management secretary, on Wednesday and according to the order Tamil qualifying exam is a must for all recruitment exams. This would be for TNPSC. Point is that the candidates need to get 40 marks minimum to qualify in the class 10 level exam. It was stated in the order that TNPSC would not evaluate the answer sheets of other subjects if the candidates dont qualify in the Tamil exam.

Tamil qualifying exam would be conducted along with the main writer exam for group 1 and 2 and 2A. Information is that the Tamil exam would test the candidates in translation, understand the meaning, letter writing and essay writing etc. It is learnt that for group 3 and 4 posts with single stage examination English option would be removed and Tamil would be made mandatory.

Tamil Eligibility Cum Scoring Test would be conducted for 150 marks and the candidates must appear for that along with the general studies, aptitude, mental ability papers etc conducted for 150marks. It must be taken into note that only if the candidate scores 40% marks in Tamil Eligibility Cum Scoring Test other papers would be evaluated.  For the rank list, marks scored by the candidates in both papers would be taken into account. The candidates need to clear the Tamil exam for other single stage exams also and then only their answer sheets would be evaluated. Point is that the order would come into immediate effect and all recruitment exams notified would have a Tamil qualifying exam.
