A new low-pressure zone is to be formed in the next 12 hours!

The low-pressure zone which formed on 9th November over the Bay of Bengal gradually intensified into a depression zone and crossed the coast after weakening near Chennai yesterday evening (Friday, 12th November).
Due to this depression zone, it rained quite heavily in a few places including Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
In this scenario, India Meteorological Centre has informed that a new low-pressure zone is likely to be formed over the south Andaman area today (Saturday, 13th November).
This may drift and would be likely intensified in 2 days (on Monday, 15th November) and would develop into a deep depression zone.
Due to this, there are prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places and medium rain in a few places from today (Saturday, 13th November) until Tuesday, 16th November.
Accordingly, there are prospects for heavy rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the 19 districts of Vellore, Ranippettai, Thirupathur, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Theni, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem, Namakkal, Perambalur, Trichy, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thenkasi and Kanyakumari. There are prospects for widespread medium rains in other districts and Puducherry.
As regards tomorrow (Sunday, 14th November) there are prospects for heavy rains with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Ranippettai, Krishnagiri, Thirupathur, Erode, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, and Theni. There are prospects for widespread medium rain in other districts and Puducherry and Cuddalore. There are prospects for light to medium rain in a few places in the southern districts.
As regards Monday (15th November), there are prospects for heavy rains with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Vellore, Ranippettai, Thirupathur, Salem, Dharmapuri, Nilgiri, Erode, and Theni. There are prospects for widespread medium rain in the other districts and Puducherry.
As regard Tuesday, 16th November, there are prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Nilgiri, Erode, Salem, and Dharmapuri. There are prospects for widespread medium rain in other districts and Puducherry. There are prospects for light to medium rain in a few places in the southern districts.
