Ayudha Pooja: Chennai Metro Train services will be until midnight!

Chennai Metro Rail administration has announced that the Chennai Metro Train services will be extended until midnight on the occasion of the Ayudha Pooja Festival.

In a notification released by the Chennai Metro Rail in this regard, it is mentioned:

“To facilitate the passengers who are leaving for other places during this holiday period, the services of the Chennai Metro Tarins are extended until midnight today (Wednesday, 13th October).

During the peak periods from 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM, trains will be operated at 5-minutes intervals. From 10.00 PM to 12.00 midnight, the trains will be operated at 15-minutes intervals!”

NOTE THAT THIS ARRANGEMENT IS JUST FOR 1 DAY TODAY!

TNSTC BUSES AND OMNIBUSES WILL BE OPERATED AS UNDER:

TNSTC Buses from Koyambedu Bus Terminus will not go Tambaram via 100; Road. Instead, they will take the route via Poonamallee High Road, Maduravoyal Exterior Road, and Maduravoyal Tollgate to reach Tambaram and Perungalathur.

The SETC buses, as usual, will operate via Poonamallee High Road, Vaanagaram, Nasarathpeettai, Outer Ring Road and reach Vandalur. Note that these buses will not go via Tambaram and Perungalathur.

In a similar vein, the Omnibuses operated to other districts from Koyambedu will move via Poonamallee Highway, Maduravoyal Exterior Road, Maduravoyal Tollgate, and Perungalathur.

Omnibuses will be allowed to operate via 100’ Road, Kathipara, Guindy, Sardar Patel Road, (OMR, ECR). Note that these buses will have carried the stickers approved by the Police Department!

Omni Buses MUST avoid taking passengers at100’ Road, CMRL Alandur Metro, KK Nagar and Poonamallee Highroad.  Instead, they should make arrangements for these passengers to be taken from Koyambedu, Tambaram and Vandalur.

The Omnibuses starting with full passengers from Koyambedu will have to avoid Tambaram and Perungalathur route and must operate via PH Road, Vaanagaram, Nasarathpettai, and Outer Ring Road to reach Vandalur.

ALL PASSENGERS ARE REQUESTED TO ABIDE BY THE ARRANGEMENTS MADE AS ABOVE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND EXTEND FULL COOPERATION!
