All banks to be closed on these important days in TN!!

It is well known that in 9 districts belonging to TN rural local elections would be held in the first and second phase.
The news that has come out is that the TN State Level Bankers Association has announced that the banks would be closed on the days of the rural local elections in the 9 districts.
It is worthy to mention here that in 9 districts like Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Vellore, Tirupathur, Ranipet, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi would have rural local elections in 2 phases. In the remaining 28 districts belonging to Tamil Nadu, for the vacant rural local posts elections would be held in 2 phases.
On 6th of October 2021, the first phase of elections would take place and on 9th October 2021 the second phase of elections would take place. There are many who work in the banks belonging to these 9 districts. To help these bank employees to cast their votes, banks would be closed on these above said days. A circular has been sent on behalf of the TN State Level Bankers Association to the concerned district bank branches. It is known that the state level banker’s committee constituted in the year 1977 is an apex inter-institutional forum to create adequate coordination machinery in all states.
