No water supply in localities like Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, Sholinganallur etc for 2 days!!

At the Nemmeli desalination plant, CMWSSB or Metro water department would be undertaking maintenance works. As a result of this, the water supply to various parts belonging to south Chennai would be disrupted.
Between 6am in the morning on 24th September and 10am on 25th September, the 110 MLD plant would be stopped for maintenance works. This has been mentioned in the statement issued by the Metro water department. Information is that major localities belonging to south Chennai namely Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Perungudi, Adyar, Velachery, Mandaveli, Mylapore, Injambakkam, Neelakarai and Sholinganallur etc would have disrupted water supply.
It has been assured by CMSSSB that alternative arrangements have been made to provide water supply to these localities in southern Chennai in the above mentioned period.
The residents have been asked by the city water manager to store sufficient amounts of water and use the water judiciously. Concerned area Engineers contact numbers have been provided and the residents could contact them.
For the residents belonging to Mylapore and Mandaveli, the contact number of Engineer is 8144930909. Likewise for Adyar, Velachery and Besant Nagar, the contact number is 8144930913. For Kottivakkam, Palavakam and Perungudi areas, contact number is 8144930914.The residents in Sholinganallur, Injambakkam and Neelankarai localities could contact 8144930915.
