Govt should not rush to reopen schools

Posted on: 14/Sep/2021 9:09:00 AM
Dr. Raman Ganga Gatkar, former scientist of ICMR mentioned that the government should not be in a rush to reopen the schools for the students.

It is known that the Coronavirus pandemic has taken the world by storm and many are getting infected even now. The third Coronavirus infection wave has been less intense now in India.

Mr. Raman later spoke about how the studies of the students could be affected by the long term side effects of Coronavirus. He added that a broader approach was necessary in this regard.

It must be noted that depending on the number of Coronavirus vulnerabilities in the particular area the decision to reopen the schools could be carried out. In areas where Corona protocols are weak, a third Coronavirus wave might occur. Shocking truth is that Coronavirus infection can affect any organ present in us. For reopening the schools, a fearless approach was needed.

The reopening of the schools must be decided by the district administration only. According to the local conditions, the schools must be reopened for the students. Point to be noted is that education is very important but there must be a balance between disease and education in this Coronavirus pandemic situation. Mr. Raman Ganga Gatkari concluded that the Coronavirus pandemic has taught us many lessons.
