Registration Bond will not be valid if the name and the ownership number are not entered in the last page!

As a preventive measure to check and eliminate transaction of bogus registration bonds n the Registration Department of Tamil Nadu State Government, the Head of the State Government Department of Registration, Inspector General Sivan Arul has released an order that if there are no names, ownership registration number, and the owner photographs are not given in the registration bond, these will not be valid.

It is mandatory to mention in the registration bond the name of the clerk who prepared the registration deed, the name of the advocate, the ownership number must all be mentioned. The photo of the document clerk who prepared it and his/her signature below the photo is required.

IG Sivan Arul has further mentioned that this order will be effective from 9th August and this has been informed to all the registers. To facilitate the implementation of this, a model form has been sent to all the registration offices.

As per this, the names of 2 witnesses, fathers name, address, Identity card, and mobile number must all be mentioned.

In the section marked Attester, the photo of the clerk who prepared the registration document, his/her signature, address, mobile number, the license number must be mentioned.

It is mentioned that if the above details are not mentioned on the last page of the registration deed, no registration will be done.

An official of the Department of Registration shared that in case any link is found on the prospects of bogus document preparation, immediate action will be taken on the offending person.
