Rela Hospitals in Chennai have become the talk of the town now!!
On Thursday, 29th July 2021, a scar-less robotic liver donor surgery was conducted here under the chief minister`s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme or CMCHIS.
Truth is that it was the first such initiative by the TN government to bring the procedure under CMCHIS. By this, the common public as well as the low income groups who cannot pay much for their treatments could receive world class lifesaving treatment at an affordable cost.
The government of Tamil Nadu is committed to provide quality health care in all the 3 levels of care like primary, secondary and tertiary care to all the people at an affordable cost. This was mentioned by the chief minister of TN. The poor would benefit from the CMCHIS and the liver donor would be motivated to donate liver to the family member without worrying about the scars.
