Nayanthara’s ‘Netrikann’ Release Date And Trailer Out

Go Women Power! It’s humbling at the Live Chennai Editorial to publish two articles on the leading ladies of Tamil cinema. Aishwarya Rajesh whose latest movie’s trailer just released while Nayanthara, who goes by ‘Lady Superstar’ has her movie’s trailer released today too!
The trailer of ‘Netrikann’ directed by Milind Rau, who made the edge-of-the-seat horror ‘Aval’ before, was released today. Nayanthara as a blind witness and fighting all odds against a womanizing Ajmal is captivatingly presented in the trailer. The movie will release directly on OTT on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13th, 2021.
Dhilip Subbarayan handles the stunts so one can expect some exciting action scenes on screen, we mean your screen at home! A.M Rahmathulla is the man behind the top-quality sound effects in a thriller like this. Milind Rau has brought in Girrishh who he worked in ‘Aval’ before to handle the music even in this. RD Rajasekhar cranks the camera. Mostly being night shots, Rajasekhar’s expertise would have definitely come to the fore.

That’s two back-to-back releases of movies with women in the lead, the other being Aishwarya’s ‘Thittam Irandu’! Storytelling has changed in Tamil cinema which had already announced its arrival in World cinema long before. Not just masala movies with top paid heroes, even the heroines now call the shots with some meaningful content!
