In a notification released by the Chennai Metro City Police Department in this regard, it is mentioned:

“As per the guidelines issued by the State Government of Tamil Nadu, the citizens will be permitted to procure essential items from 6.00 AM to 10.00 AM! The citizens who come out beyond the hours allowed by the State Government of Tamil Nadu          MUST HAVE REGISTERED AND GOT THE E-REGISTRATION and that IMMEDIATE STRINGENT LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON those without this E-Registration and their vehicles maybe confiscated!”

It has been informed further that arrangements have been made for protective action to ensure that the citizens do not cross their police station boundary limit and enter the territory of other Police Stations!  Those who do so MUST HAVE APPLIED AND GOT E-REGISTRATION!

The Chennai Metro City Police Department has categorically announced that that the CITIZENS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO TRAVEL OUT AS ABOVE EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN UNAVOIDABLE REASONS SUCH AS EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT AND OTHER SUCH REASONS!”
