Time Extension given for filing Income Tax Returns!

With the whole country reeling under the severe impact and spread of the resurgent coronavirus pandemic since last few months, and giving due consideration how this has entirely upset the normal working time/cycle, lots of citizens including the tax-payers have put up an appeal to extend the deadline for filing the Income Tax Returns!
The Central Government has received the above appeals and considering them duly, the ear4lier deadline fixed for the Filing of Income-Tax Returns for the financial year 2021, filing of Income Tax Returns as per the Revised Income Tax Act Section 5 and the delayed filing of Income Tax returns as per Section 4, TIME EXTENSION HAS BEEN GIVEN UP TO 31ST MAY 2021!
Even foot those tax-payers who had failed to file the return before the due date and havi8ng received a notice under Section 148, time extension has been given until 31st May!
