AIIMS Directors Warning: Do not use CT scan to detect corona!

The Director of AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) Director Randeep Gloria has warned that TAKING CT SCAN WITHOUT MEDICAL CONSULTATION TO DETECT CORONAVIRUS MAY LEAD TO THE GRAVE RISK OF CANCER!
India has been presently experiencing the 2nd surge of the coronavirus pandemic. WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED THAT THERE ARE STRONG PROSPECTS OF AN IMPACT/EXTENT/SPREAD OF THE RESURGENT CORONAVIRUS IN COMING WEEKS!
AIIMS Director further informed: that sometimes even though all symptoms are seen, a negative result is given while taking the RT PCR tests. Around 40%, they take CT Scan. However, PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH CT SCAN IS AN EQUIVALENT TO 300-400 X-Rays!
Due to the excessive radiation, the people who take CT scan, especially the youth, are likely to face the risk of cancer in future!
So, in case you get negative results after the usual corona test, please take an X-Ray. The doctor will advise whether a CT scan is required! Further, if the corona is confirmed, There is NO NEED to take any blood test or CT Scan!
For the citizens with mild coronavirus affection, ordinary medicines will do! There is no need for them to take steroids! This is because taking steroid may have some other harmful side effects!”
