Judge N. Ramana has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court!
As the tenure of the present Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Bobde is about to conclude shortly, it was gathered that the senior Justice next in the list of seniority was likely to be appointed as the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India. The present Chief Justice Bobde had also recommended his name.
In this situation, The President of India has appointed N. V. Ramana as the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India! He will remain in office until August 2022.
