Highlights of the budget presented by the TN State Finance and Deputy Chief Minister!

The Deputy Chief Minister and the Finance Minister of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, O. Panneerselvam, informed during his interim budget presentation ibn the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly that Rs. 5000 Crores have been allotted for the waiver of the agricultural loans.

With the prospects of the Tamil Nadu State Elections for the Legislative Assembly likely to be announced during this month-end (February) or At the beginning of the next month (March), the budget being presented is called as ‘Interim Budget’.

This implies that the new government that forms after the election will need to present a full-fledged new budget!
