TN Budget 2021: State Govt Employees Insurance Coverage Scheme to be extended - OPS

While presenting the interim budget (Financial Year 2021-22) in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the Tamil Nadu State Deputy Chief Minister and the Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam informed that a special allotment will be made for the insurance cover of all the state government employees covering against the rare diseases and unforeseen incidents for a total of Rs. 20 Lakhs.
The Deputy Chief Minister further announced that a new revised insurance coverage scheme will be implemented for all the State Government Employees with increased and developed concessions on medical coverage.
During the budget presentation, he further explained that the present coverage amount of Rs, 4 Lakhs is now be revised upwards to Rs. 5 Lakhs. The coverage against attack by certain specific diseases and the required treatment is also increased from the present Rs. 7.5 Lakhs to Rs. 10 Lakhs
A special allotment will be made for coverage against some rare diseases and unforeseen incidents for ac overage of Rs. 20 Lakhs for the Tamil Nadu State Government Employees.
