A special notification released by the commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) mentions:
Special camps are scheduled to be organized for the differently-abled persons to be included in the voters’ list in academic institutions and the centres for the differently-abled adapting 2021 special short process of inclusion in the voters’ list exclusively for the differently-abled persons with the main objective of release of the voters’ list the 16 Legislative Assembly Constituencies in the Chennai Metro City.
A special App has been created for this purpose - GCC-Accessible Elections - has been created for this purpose. This Whatsapp number is 9499933619.
By using this App or calli9ng this number, al differently-abled citizens can register their complaints and get them solved.
Further, a toll-free number 1950 is accessible for the differently-abled citizens to check and confirm whether their names are included in the voters’ list and if any corrections are to be carried out.”
