National Teachers Education Council: A pass in TET valid for a lifetime!

The National Teachers’ Education Council has announced that passing the TET - Teachers’ Eligibility Test once will be valid for a lifetime.
The rule/regulation that the pass in TET is valid only for 7 years has now been modified. The new system has been announced and implemented immediately.
Henceforth, for those who write TET, c certificate valid till lifetime will be issued.
Regarding the extension of validity for those who have already written TET and passed, it has been announced that a legal consultation regarding this will be undertaken and a decision will be taken.
It maybe noteworthy at this juncture that there are 80000 teachers in Tamil Nadu who have passed TET and have demanded extension for the certificate validity.
