Apart from engineering, and medicine another course that has become highly popular is the chartered accountant or CA course. Many students are interested in chartered accountant courses because of the fact that it provides superb job opportunities.

The news that has emerged now is that ICAI or Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as a part of a new rule has allowed students who have passed class 10 to enrol with the institute. By this move, the aspirants would become chartered accountants 6 months in advance

The students who have passed class 10 would be allowed by the ICAI to provisionally register for the entry level CA foundation course. Point is that the registration would be allowed after class 10 but the admission would be regularised only when the student passes class 12.

It must be recalled that in the past the students could register for CA foundation courses after appearing in their class 12 exams. The students were allowed to write the foundation exam only after a 4 month study period. The superb piece of information is that under the new system the study period could be completed while pursuing class11 and class 12.

It was mentioned by ICAI that students who appear for class 12 exams in February-March would be eligible to appear for CA foundation exam in May. The students need not wait for the November exams. It is now brought out that the aspirant could become a chartered accountant faster because of early admission.

As per Mr. Atul Kumar Gupta, president of ICAI, this new rule would help the students prepare for the CA foundation course while studying in the classes 11 and classes 12.

He explained about how the students would have time to update their knowledge and acquire requisite techniques to appear for and pass their CA foundation course. Truth is that this new rule would give the students more time for developing understanding and preparing for the professional course.

Important information is that CA foundation examinations are held twice in a year that is in May/June and in November/December. In 2020, the exams will be held in the month of December.
