The State Government of Tamil Nadu has released a New Oder giving exemption to the flight passengers with children on reaching Chennai Metro City.

In the prevailing situation, the continuing impact/extent of the raging coronavirus pandemic has been quite severe and continuing, This has constrained both the state and central governments to extend the existing lockdown imposition mainly in order to check and control the spread of the raging coronavirus. As such, the public transport facility has also been canceled.

At the same time, the central government has taken the initiative to bring back all the stranded Indians in other countries back to India through specially organized ‘Vande Bharath’ flights.

In this situation, the central Ministry of aviation has announced that the ban on international flight services will prevail until 31st August.

At the same time, flights for the purpose of attending to the coronavirus pandemic related services and flight carrying fright (goods) will be exempted and allowed to operate.

As the impact/extent of the raging coronavirus pandemic is continuing unabated, the international flight service will remain banned until 31st August. The flight passengers who arrive at Chennai from foreign countries are compulsorily put in isolation for 14 days and then only allowed to go their residences.

In this situation, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has released an order exempting the flight passengers with children from the mandatory isolation.

The State Government of Tamil Nadu had already released the guidelines to strictly adhere to the flight passengers from foreign countries or other states in India. In this release of guidelines, exemption from isolation was given to those who need emergent medical attention, those who arrived to attend the death of relatives, pregnant women, and those above 75 years of age.

Now, a revision has been made in the exemption - if the flight passenger had undergone coronavirus PCR test 96 hours before the trip to Chennai and got negative results, these passengers will also be granted exemption fo the condition of 14 days isolation and this order has been released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
