Travelling in and out of Chennai to become easier with work related e-pass

Many people travel in and out of the city of Chennai for their work and they are finding it very difficult due to the restrictions. Soon, travelling wont be such an issue for these people.
It was mentioned by Chennai Corporation commissioner Mr. G. Prakash that there would be a new category of work related e-passes for the above mentioned people. Important point is the CM has ordered that issuance of e-passes to the public with valid reasons and it included travelling to attend marriage, funeral or medical emergency be liberalised.
The Chennai Corporation commissioner then highlighted that currently 1.7lakhs e-passes have been issued in Chennai city. For getting e-pass approval, it is important to upload aadhaar details plus other documents.
He later spoke about how strict restrictions in the movement of the people in the Chennai city have lowered the high positivity Coronavirus rate Point is the restrictions have been imposed for the larger good.
