Time extended for payment of Vehicle Road Tax without a penalty until 31st July

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has extended the time limit to pay the Vehicle Road Tax without any penalty until 31st July.
Earlier, the state Government of Tamil Nadu had granted the time limit until the end of June for this. However, with most of the vehicles not in operation due to the lockdown imposition prevailing as a preventive action against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, various Vehicle Owners’ Associations demanded that with vehicles kept out of operation for 3 months, the discount of the vehicle road tax must be given for the quarter.
In this situation, in an order released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu, it is mentioned that the time has been extended for the payment without any penalty for the Vehicle Road Tax for the 1st Quarter of the year until 31st July.
