Beginning from 11th July, traffic diversions to be present near Chennai Central railway station

In Chennai city, places near the Central railway station would always be busy with traffic.

The latest news is traffic police have come out with a diversion plan near the Chennai Central railway station beginning from11th July 2020. This would be there for a time of 15 days. The reason for the traffic diversion was because of the construction of the subway that has been undertaken by the Chennai Metro near the railway station. To reach the station from Anna Salai, there would not be any change in the regular route.

It must be noted that the motorists would be able to reach Central via Pallavan Salai and E.V.R. Salai. Information is that motorists coming from Muthusamy Road towards Anna Salai should proceed through Muthusamy Bridge and Wallajah Point.

For reaching Anna Salai, vehicles from Evening Bazaar should take a left on E.V.R. Road and head through Muthusamy Bridge and Wallajah Point. Information is those vehicles coming from Evening Bazaar would not be allowed through Stanley viaduct. To reach Anna Salai, vehicles coming from Wall Tax Road should take a left on E.V.R. Salai and proceed through Muthusamy Bridge and vehicles from Muthusamy Road would not be allowed through Stanley Viaduct and Pallavan Salai.
