Lockdown - the latest guidelines and relaxations!

The Central Ministry of Home Affairs has released the list of the relaxations in the 2nd Phase and the related guidelines for the locations where there is no coronavirus infection.

The countrywide lockdown imposition comes to a close today (30th June, Tuesday), As such, the central government has come up with the latest set of relaxations and guideline to be followed until 31st July.

As per this, all schools and colleges will remain closed until 31st July. The ban on opening of worship spots, cinema theatres, political and religious meetings continues until 31st July.

Domestic flight services and train services have been allowed in reduced scale as already announced. The central government has announced that this will be increased gradually as the situation improves. It has announced that the Metro Rails WILL NOT FUNCTION.

Vande Bharath flight services will be allowed in reduced numbers and will be increased gradually.

Though shops are permitted to be open, SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE STRICTLY OBSERVED (not more than 5% should gather in the shops). The State and Central Government training centres are allowed to start functioning from 15th July.

Night curfew timings will be from 10.00 PM to 5.00 AM.

The Central government has further announced that the respective state government can decide on the extent of relaxations in the NON-CONTAINMENT ZONES. Senior citizens over 65 years of age and children fewer than 10 years of age are advised to remain within their residences.

There are no restrictions on goods movement between states. E-pass is NOT required for this.
