Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th: Lessons reduced on subject textbooks!

In the present scenario, with the 100% lockdown imposition as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic, all educational institutions including schools and colleges remain closed - it is not even known even they will reopen! As such, the academic period is drastically reduced - as such, information is floating around that the number of lessons in each subject is being reduced for all classes in schools.
As mentioned, the schools, which were due to reopen after the usual summer vacation in the month of June, have not been reopened and the month of June itself is drawing to a close! As the impact/intensity of the raging coronavirus pandemic has still not reduced in most districts, it is obvious that it will take some more time for the reopening of schools. So, the School Education Department of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to reduce the content of the syllabus for all classes.
As per this, for 10th Standard, instead of the 2 books prescribed for the subject of Social Science at present, there will be only one book!
Information is gathered that in a similar mode, for the 11th and 12th Standards, subjects other than Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will have only one textbook.
It is learned that this decision has been taken after the appeal from various sources to reduce the syllabus by 50% due to time lost because of the raging coronavirus pandemic!
