The administration of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has informed that the students of the 10th Standard and +2 classes, who have not cleared some of the subjects, can decide whether to write the supplementary examinations for these uncleared subjects or not!

As a measure to prevent the raging coronavirus pandemic, all the schools, colleges, and academic institutions remain closed. In this situation, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has planned to conduct the examinations for the uncleared subjects for the students of 10th Standard and +2 students who have kept some arrears from 1st July to 14th July.

In this regard, a petition was filed by a section of parents of the students in the Mumbai High Court to cancel the above-scheduled examinations.

The enquiry of this petition came upon the court day-before-yesterday (Monday, 15th June). In this instance, CISCE made a recommendation while presenting its observations in the enquiry. This recommendation mentions:

“The students who have arrears in some subjects in 10th Standard and +2 classes, can decide by themselves whether to write these arrears examinations or not. The students must submit their preferences to the respective schools before 22nd June.

The students who have chosen NOT to write the arrears examination will be declared as passed based on the marks obtained by them thus far.”
