Soon, there would be separate entry/exit points at the PHCs in TN for symptomatic patients

For those persons who show Corona virus symptoms, there would be separate entry and exit points in TN Urban Primary Health Care Centres or UPHC’s. This has been ordered by the state government. The district collectors and corporation commissioners would soon be involved in setting up of these entry and exit points in the UPHC’s. This has been mentioned for the sake of controlling the spread of Covid-19 infection. This was pointed out by Mr. K. Shanmugam, chief secretary.

In the urban places belonging to the state of TN, there has been increase in the number of positive cases is known. An order has been sent to all corporation commissioners and district collectors.

It is worth mentioning that Covid-19 positive cases have been increasing in TN and on Monday as many as 805 fresh cases were reported. In the city of Chennai, as many as 549 fresh cases were reported. More than 700 cases were reported every day in the last week in TN.

For the purpose of containing the Corona virus infection, TN government has been taking various steps. It must be remembered that recently all the government hospitals and healthcare centres were announced as Corona virus hot spots. The patients with issues other than Corona virus would be given treatment at different time. 

The government has given orders to the administrations about this. The chief secretary later spoke about how arrangements were made to treat persons with non-communicable diseases and for anti-natal mothers. He hinted that disinfectant activities would be strengthened further in UPHC`s for effective Corona virus infection containment.
