As many as 17 doctors of this famous Hospital in Chennai tests Corona virus positive

According to multiple sources belonging to Chennai based Stanley Medical College and Hospital or SMCH, as many as 17 doctors have suspected to have tested positive for Corona virus infection now.
This hospital has got 400 beds in the Corona virus treatment ward and the hospital has been full of patients.
It is now revealed that the congested corridors and the lack of entry/exit points increased the Covid-19 condition. More people were exposed to the virus due to the testing centre that has been set up here. It must not be forgotten that public interest litigations or PIL’s has been filed in the HC of Madras regarding the low quality PPEs that has been issued to the doctors, nurses, paramedical staffs and workers.
It has been brought to light by a doctor belonging to SMCH that some doctors who got infected with Covid-19 on Friday were professors and they did not deal with corona virus patients directly. They just took part in the administrative meetings. The doctor then added that some were asked to be on quarantine and others were asked to go on medical leave.
The samples collected were sent for testing and the results would be out on Saturday. This was as per the authorities of SMCH.
