The Corporation deputy commissioner (education), Grace Pachuau, highlighted that the teachers were first trained to use Zoom app and WhatsApp on their mobile phones before they began teaching for the class 10 students.

As many as 6280 GCC school students would be writing their class 10 public exams on 15th June 2020. The online classes for these students are now going on full swing. Those students who have just passed out of class 9 would have online classes also and this was as per the civic body.

Important point is NGOs and corporate funding has helped in the procurement of 5000 smart phones and on Thursday these smart phones were distributed.

It was pointed out by a student that day one had few issues in the internet connection and about the difficulty in using the app. Another student spoke about how the students were interactive and how they got used to it slowly.

Thiruvottriyur based Chennai Higher Secondary School headmistress Juliet Gnanathepam brought out that the students would be able to use the mobile before 9 am and after 6 pm. The classes were also scheduled accordingly taking into account the students issues. It must be taken into account that the students shared pictures of their homeworks, drawings, graphs and maps etc.
