Now, more Corona virus positive cases in these Chennai zones only

It is known that GCC has been concentrating on the hot spots in zones like Royapuram, Thru-Vi-Ka Nagar, Tondiarpet and Kodambakkam only.
The latest news is 3 other zones belonging to GCC have shown more number of Corona virus positive cases recently. The data from GCC on Thursday morning mentioned that Anna Nagar/zone 8 had 52 cases, Thiruvottriyur/zone 1 had 39 cases and Teynampet/ zone 4 had 47 cases.
Truth is the Kodambakkam zone reported just 55 cases though it is a hot spot. Tondiarpet zone reported 50 cases and these are less than Royapuram zone with 115 cases, TVK Nagar zone with 76 cases. In the last 3 days, Anna Nagar zone recorded as many as 108 positive cases and in the last 17 weeks this zone recorded 5-fold jump. From just 22 cases on 4th May to 221 cases on 21st May, Thiruvottriyur zone saw 10-fold jump.
It was later pointed out by an officer -in- charge of the corporation north zone that increase was just temporary and it has reduced again. On Thursday just 8 cases were reported in the Thiruvottriyur zone. It is worthy to note that in the Anna Nagar zone everyday 20 to 30 cases gets reported.
