Indian Oil Corporation: Consumers can book henceforth through App as well!

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has introduced the facility to book LPG cooking gas cylinders through WhatsApp!
Managing Director of IOC, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, P. Jayadevan, shared in this regard:
There are 2.38 Crores consumers with LPG cooking gas connections. Out of this, IOC has 1.36 Crores, customers/consumers!
Presently, the procedure to book new LPG cooking gas cylinders through the phone is in practice.
In this scenario, the facility to book LPG cooking gas cylinders through App (WhatsApp) has now been introduced!
One can book the cylinder through WhatsApp number 7588888824 typing REFILL.
This booking can be done only through the cell phone number already furnished to IOC.
In order to get the proper feedback from the consumers regarding various issues such as whether proper payment has been collected, whether the delivered cylinders are of the right weight, whether proper service care is given by the attendants regarding cylinder seal and leakage, etc., IOC will send a link to the customers. The consumers/customers can fill this and send.
In a similar vein, a facility has been introduced in the official IOC website for the customers to visit, fill their observations or ask for any clarifications.
As there is a maloperation where LPG cooking gas cylinders, partly used in shops are taken and delivered at residences as per complaints received, the consumer needs to ask the attendant to check the weight and confirm.
A new service when the customer will be sent an SMS regarding the subsidy is to be introduced shortly.
The introduction of piped gas supply to residential localities will be introduced in Chennai Metro City next year!
