More Metro passengers availing link transport facility!

There is an increasing trend among the Chennai Metro Rail passengers to avail the link transport services organised by CMRL in the Metro Stations!
A notification released in this regard by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) mentions:
‘Chennai Metro Rail Limited has been providing arrangements for linking transports for its passengers to reach their destination quick and easy. Mini-vans, minibuses, shared autos and cabs are available as arranged by CMRL. This is apart from the bicycle and bike facilities on rent.
So far,7 Metro Stations have the facility of shared auto at Rs. 5 and shared Taxis at Rs. 10 for a distance of up to 3 km.
As such, during the month of December, 42366 CMRL passengers have availed the shared auto / shared taxi facilities from the above-mentioned Metro Stations and 25597 passengers have availed the Chennai Metro deluxe-mini-van services.
Right from the starting date of operation of these services till December, 718003 CMRL passengers have availed these link-services.
It has recently been announced that CMRL is planning to expedite making these link facilities transport in all the 32 CMRL stations!
